As always, sad news is difficult to share. Words sometimes only scratch the surface of the sympathy we feel for the lose of friends and family. These words go out to a dear friend Diane. We love you.
Patricia Ann Thorwart
|
Patricia Ann Thorwart, age 69, of 88 Metoxet St., Ridgway, died
Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at her residence following a brief illness.
She
was born Jan. 29, 1940, in Ridgway, daughter of the late James and
Magdaline (Siebert) VonArx. She married J. Alan Thorwart on Oct. 18,
1956, he preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1976.
She was a
graduate of the Ridgway High School Class of 1957. She had resided in
Ridgway all of her life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church.
She had been employed by Alltel and the Ridgway Moose Club.
She is
survived by the following children, Steve Thorwart and his companion
Mary Eagen of Ridgway, Mike Thorwart of Alliance, Ohio, Don and Paula
Thorwart of Ridgway, Diane and Jaime Leitzel of Ridgway, Bill Thorwart
of Rock Hill, S.C., Ron and Merideth Thorwart of Berlin, N.J., Gary
Thorwart of Ridgway, Dennis and Janine Thorwart of Fortmill, S.C., Ed
and Mary Thorwart of Ridgway; 17 grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; four sisters, Joyce Wolfe of Tampa, Fla., Janine
Backstrom of Harrisburg, Mary Lou Kopnick of Glidden, Wisc., Lyn Orem
of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, James VonArx of Ridgway; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Neal Adam Thorwart on Oct. 27, 1999.
A
Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia Ann Thorwart will be celebrated
at St. Leo Catholic Church on Friday at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the
Very Rev. Theodore B. Marconi, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at St. Leo Cemetery.
Friends will be received
at the Thompson Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials, if
desired, can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research, 262 Danny Thomas
Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105. |

My thoughts and prayers are with Sue, her family, and friends. Such a tragic loss not only for them, but for this world. I can still picture that big smile, and the enthusiasm and energy that she put into her life.
She leaves this world taking a small part of all of us who knew her with her, and in our hearts and minds we forever hold the memories of her life on earth with us.
May she walk in the light of the Lord, and may her family and friends find peace and comfort in Gods love.

I still cannot believe that such a dynamic, vibrant person is gone...I'll continue to keep her family in my prayers.Such a heart wrenching ordeal they have all been through, and Sue hung tough to the end. Such a tragic loss.
On another sad note, please include another one of our classmates in your thoughts and prayers. Some of you may remember Mary Nell (Keller) Elias...she was in our class for awhile but graduated from Elk Christian. She is Sue Papa's sister, and married to Paul's brother Don. She was life flighted to Erie this morning after having a massive heart attack. She had to be shocked back to life twice and is on life support.

Sue,I will pray! My heart is with you and I trust that the love of Jesus will fill you and give you great peace as you walk through these difficult days. I pray that the Lord heals and touches you in a miraculous way. I send my love and prayers for strength, healing and the peace that passes all understanding. Please know you will be lifted up. I am in a terrific small group and I will get you on our prayer list. These people know how to PRAY!!! They are young, awesome and filled with the spirit of the Lord.
