Kenneth H. Emmerick, 49, of 611 West Main Street, Ridgway, died Thursday morning, Sept. 10, 2009, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born June 20, 1960. in Pittsburgh, son of the late Herbert and Mabel M. (Poague) Emmerick. He married Regina L. Galmish, who survives. He was a graduate of the Ridgway High School Class of 1978, was a Protestant by faith and was a member of the Ridgway Jaycees, the N.R.A., the Outdoors Companions, and enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially camping. He was an avid Steelers and Penguins fan. He had been employed by Motion Control Industries for 22 years and by the Warren County School District for five years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a step-brother, James Anderson Sr. and his wife Beverly of Peru, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Butch Anderson, and by a brother-in-law, William R. Galmish. A Memorial Service for the late Kenneth H. Emmerick will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Monday, at 1 p.m., with Fr. Eric T. Vogt O.S.B, Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Marys, officiating. There will be no visitation.
